Our 2025 Beecroft Wimbledon Event, held 6 July 2025, was a great success.
All Lawn & Synthetic Courts were available for play, and from 1:00 p.m. were all full of players wearing all white – in the Wimbledon tradition. Some authentic Wimbledon tennis gear was also spotted – shirts, caps and wristbands.
Beecroft welcomed many new members and guests and there were some great sets of tennis played – despite the softness and low bounce of the grass!
Afternoon tea was generously prepared by several members, and consisted of strawberries & cream, scones (with jam & cream of course), along with drinks.
Tennis continued well into the afternoon, and during this time, our traditional Trivia Quiz was expertly run by Lynne Cottee.
Overall it was a fabulous success and everyone enjoyed the Wimbledon tradition and made some new friends.
