On 1st August 2015, club members and their guests dressed for a 70’s night enjoyed an evening of entertainment, fun, friendship and great food typical of the era. We had some fabulous “costumes” which were made, hired or taken out of retirement for the night.
Doug Gibb and Julie Dunesky were judged to have “winning” costumes though it was hard not to admire Chris Sharpe’s outfit. A purple crimplene floor length dress with gold braiding. Just stunning Chris! Ken Harrison came in his official convenor’s outfit which was very formal and he explained the protocol surrounding this uniform.
A band off great workers decorated the club house, cooked food, made punch, donated raffle prizes and organised trivia and Celebrity Squares. Again we had Sam organise the mood music for us. If you were unable to come you missed out on a fantastic night. Thanks to the many club members who worked hard to make this evening such a great success.
